I met Rita, her husband Rustam Khaiatov with their two children Raim and Karina, last year when I visited Josef for school partnership exchange in Austria. It is painful to hear they would be sent back to be persecuted, tortured and threatened by the Kirghiz.
What has gone wrong with human beings ? Why can the Austrian government not show them acceptance even when they have integrated so well in their social system? Why would they be asked to go home when they can be offered a home as human beings who needs help?
I come from Nigeria where we do not have enough to eat, but surprisingly we are ever willing to share the little we have with those whose does not have any…I know the authorities can do it for this poor family. I therefore ask them to stand with humanity and not nationality.
Please give them a home and you would have given them a chance to live again!!!
